This Sunday flew by! I thought today was the 5th. I’m always a day or date behind. I woke up just in time for church which starts at noon. I went to church online and I must say, my church knows what they are doing when it comes to technology. Everything is always really very smooth and efficient. They were really tech savvy before the pandemic, so I feel this was an easy transition for them. They haven’t missed a beat since March. Shout out to Kingdom Fellowship!
Brunch
So, after church, I had brunch because I didn’t get up early enough to consider calling it breakfast. Joseph was in a cooking mood, so the delicious food smell is what really woke me up. That’s the best kind of wake up ever! LOL. After I ate, I cleaned up the kitchen and then went outside.
Santa Baby
I turned on some Christmas tunes. This playlist on Amazon music was perfect because it was a little over an hour and had all the soulful Christmas music I needed. Side note: I kept rewinding the song, “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt because for some reason, the lyrics spoke to me today! She said, Santa honey, I wanna yacht and really that’s not a lot”.
I mean, I deserve…
Just Hanging
I hung my Christmas balls on the tree, chatted with my neighbor (from a distance) for a few, then I raked out the flower beds. Just as I was finishing up, Joseph came out and asked if I needed help. His timing is impeccable! LOL.
Sunday Routine
Then I went on my evening walk, and mostly chilled out for the rest of the evening. Dinner was a hodgepodge of leftovers. It’s football Sunday, so that mean’s every man for himself (ie. don’t bother Joseph because his team usually loses <insert eye roll>) So, I made a random plate of food, talked on the phone for minute, and then did a little online shopping this evening.
I can’t tell you what I did in-between all of this, but whatever it was, it made the time fly by because here we are…Monday eve. I have a lot of stuff to do to prep for this week ahead, so I’ll just check in tomorrow.
xo,
Che
