What a difference a year makes.
Thankful
My phone reminded me that on this day last year, I was sitting in my plush hotel room in Bangkok with the sun beaming on my face. I was there celebrating and building up to my 40th birthday. The gratitude I had on that day last year, is nothing compared to the level of gratitude I have today. I have grown so much this year…more than I’ve grown in the previous years combined. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been forced to sit still and deal with whatever is in front of me, or if I’ve just been afforded the “time” to contemplate my life and the direction it should go. Either way, I am sitting here today (not in a penthouse suite, but in an uncomfortable home office chair I might add), and I am more thankful today than I was this time last year, and to me…that is growth.

That’s all I have for today. Maybe I’ll post a couple of more throwbacks tomorrow, because I don’t have much to blog about since I’ve been resting.
