Tea(chi)ng Tuesday #11 - Centering My Chi

I just wanted to do a quick check in because I’ve been feeling all over the place, so I figured, I would just hop on my blog to brain dump.

So what has been on my mind?

New Phone?

I’ve been debating getting a new phone. The iPhone 12 to be exact. I am actually pretty cheap then it comes to technology. Ok. I’m not cheap…but usually, I’ll keep my gadgets ’til the wheels fall off. I don’t need the latest technology. But I will replace something if I feel it is inconveniencing me, or taking up my time with being slow. I take care of the things I buy, and I like quality products, so if I pay a premium for a product, I expect it to last for a reasonable amount of time. I thought that my iPhone was malfunctioning today, but I figured out that I just need to replace the screen protector. We all know how iPhones will “prompt” you to get a new one. <insert eye roll>. In my case, it was something as simple as changing the screen protector, so I ordered a new one today.

But now that I started looking at the new phones, I may just proceed because I feel my phone has been a lot slower lately.

Stocks

I have not been keeping an eye on my stock portfolio lately, but I decided to log in and purchase one Apple share. I think I did this because I was looking at phones, and figured that since I’m not buying a phone today, the least I could do is buy a share.

I’ve noticed lately that I usually check or buy stock after I’ve invested my time looking into something. I was on the Apple website today, so I figured if they have my attention then buying a share most likely will benefit my stock portfolio.

I know buying one share of stock is so random, but that is how I operate. LOL.

Etsy

I am still having fun on Etsy. I actually spent a lot of time working on some stuff for the shop today. I am not sure how I’m doing, but I’m just happy that I am steadily growing it.

So I’m going to take a moment and pat myself on the back. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I opened my Etsy shop, but these messages remind me to keep doing what I’ve been doing…even when I question myself. But I’m just happy I started something that is fun and rewarding!

Girls Trip?

I told Joseph yesterday that I need a vacation. But I specified that I need a Girls Trip. He agreed. LOL! I don’t even know where the first Girls Trip stop would be, but wherever it is, they better get ready because there is a lot of backed up fun that needs to be let out! I need to get vaccinated and some things need to normalize before I go anywhere, but I can dream.

40s and Boss Moves

I was talking with one of my girlfriends the other day and we were talking about how our friends are “bossing up” and going after their dreams, and doing things they’ve always wanted to. Then she said something like, “I’ve never felt better about myself since turning 40” and I fully agreed. I remember my aunt telling me years ago, that her forties were her best years. It was so random when she told me because I wasn’t even close to 40, but I just remember her saying it. One thing I know, is that 40s hit different, and this is something I’ve witnessed with my own eyes. So, I am really appreciating these years and I’m embracing them to the fullest.
